DESCRIPTION: The Waste Isolation Pilot Plant, or WIPP, is the world's third deep geological repository (after closure of Germany's Repository for radioactive waste Morsleben and the Schacht Asse II Salt Mine) licensed to permanently dispose of transuranic radioactive waste for 10,000 years^[1] that is left from the research and production of nuclear weapons.

It is located approximately 26 miles (42 km) east of Carlsbad, New Mexico, in eastern Eddy County, in an area known as the southeastern New Mexico nuclear corridor which also includes the National Enrichment Facility near Eunice, New Mexico, the Waste Control Specialists low-level waste disposal facility just over the border near Andrews, Texas, and the International Isotopes, Inc. facility to be built near Eunice, New Mexico.

Using official data the amount of Plutonium released can kill 32,700 Americans

The amount in the air down wind of the NM site is at least 810 TIMES BACKGROUND levels.

The Waste Isolation Pilot Plant Plutonium storage site had a significant release of radioactive PLUTONIUM, which the experts maintain was “far below any level of concern”.   However they have distorted the facts to minimize the real dangers of escaping Plutonium into the down wind atmosphere.
 
The Lie: Plant Officials tried to pretend and mislead the public into believing that the only human health hazard of Plutonium would come 100% from detectable ionizing radiation.

The Truth: Most isotopes of Plutonium have extremely long half lives. This means that very small radioactivity “goes off” at any given minute and it is at very close range to the particle itself. Therefore the true radioactive killing power of the air born PU would not show up on a Geiger Counter that was any distance from the plutonium source itself.

 Officials then conveniently used “radiation only” guidelines for whether the EPA would consider the leaks coming from Carlsbad Waste Isolation Plant an “action level” event.

In fact Plutonium's real killing power is from it being an unnatural heavy metal, with radiation as a close proximity “bonus” killing factor. Its radiation is deadly at only very close range to the PU particle.

Therefore, when the scientists state that the amount detected is far below EPA action levels, they are purposely misrepresenting the true dangers of escaping Plutonium particles into the down wind air.
   
Plutonium kills most effectively as a site specific heavy metal (not just related to radioactivity), and Plutonium is hardly “radioactive” so judging it just by only its amount of ionizing activity is completely deceptive.
 
Plutonium kills humans with a close range Alpha  particle punch, combined with toxic effects of the heavy metal PU itself.

PU targets two of the most important areas of the body, the bones (and thus blood production, and thus leukemia and all related diseases of weak blood, weak oxygen transport), and the liver (200 functions, including turning food into usable formats for the body)
